What it detects

• Green — possible kidney issues or significant dehydration.
• Red / orange — blood in urine (hematuria), often the first sign of FLUTD, cystitis, or bladder stones.
• Dark yellow — normal, healthy urine pH. Exactly what you want to see.

Why early detection matters

Urinary tract disease is one of the most common — and most painful — conditions in cats, especially males. Caught early, a vet visit and a diet change usually resolve it. Caught late, it can become a life-threatening blockage. This litter is designed to catch the problem in the window between "something's off" and "emergency vet."

How to use

Pour 2–3 inches into a clean, dry litter box. Check the crystals after your cat urinates — color changes are most visible within 60 seconds. Scoop solids daily and replace the full bag every 2–3 weeks (slightly faster than our standard litter so the indicator stays accurate). If you see a color change other than dark yellow, save a photo and contact your vet.
